Open Call: Cybernate Digital Arts Residency November 2025
Cybernate is a residency by Culture Works in association with the French Embassy in Ireland, supported by Galway Culture Company and in partnership with Pôle Pixel.
We are delighted to invite applications for a one-week residency at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre, Co. Monaghan in Ireland, from 1 – 7 November 2025.
This residency supports an Irish artist and their French artist or creative collaborator to spend a focused week working together, with the opportunity to attend and present at BETA Festival (assembly, conference, and networking) on 7 November in Dublin. (Time and date to be confirmed for the event)
Residency Includes:
- Six nights’ accommodation in two private 1-bedroom cottages (with bathrooms)
- All meals (served in the main house at Tyrone Guthrie)
- Access to studio space (Garden Studio or standard art studios, to be confirmed)
- Artist fees covered €500
- Flights for the French artist
Eligibility & Expectations:
- Open to all Digital artists, including previous Cybernate participants
- Irish artists apply with a French artist or creative collaborator
- Both artists must be available for the full residency (1–7 November) and BETA Festival (7 November)
- Selected artists must provide names, contact details, and dietary requirements at least one week before arrival
How to Apply:
Due to the short notice of this call, artists may apply in one of two ways:
- Written proposal (max. 1 page) including:
- Project description or area of exploration (500 words Max)
- Why this residency would benefit your collaboration (200 words max)
- Artists CVs
- Links to the artist’s works
Video proposal (max. 5 minutes) covering the same points
